Inspired by one member of a close knit blackbird family, this little guy has shared parenting duties two years in a row with his little wifey and other husband! He is recognisable by a little grey patch on the side of his head, and on sunny days I often find him basking very close by to either me or Amber (the dog variety of garden sunbather!)
This design was drawn straight onto lino using a Glass calligraphy pen, and carved exactly how it was drawn to give the print the feeling of a sketch.
